Castlerea Community School once again were successful in the 2024 ETTA (Engineering and Technology Teachers’ Association) Young Technologist Regional Awards. In the Regional Final, Daniel Rodrigues and Joseph Mannion both received awards for their Leaving Cert Technology Projects and folders.. They both received specially engraved medals and certificates at a presentation ceremony in Roscommon recently. Heir projects were designed to help people in their community. Both projects were electromechanically controlled and involved an element of programming. Daniel’s project went forward to the National ETTA final in Sligo in November where he received a Cerificate of Distinction for his project.
