Huge congratulations to Stanford Mhango (3rd year) who is through to the All-Ireland finals of Poetry Aloud 2024. Stanford recited two poems in The National Library of Ireland today and he was thrilled to be chosen to progress to the finals. This is a wonderful achievement for Stanford as he also reached the All-Ireland finals of this competition last year. Twenty eight students from all corners of Ireland will compete in the finals in December. Well done Stanford. All in CCS are very proud of you.
Students Orna, Darko and Maedbh also competed in the Poetry Aloud All-Ireland semi-finals which took place in the National Library of Ireland, Dublin. Forty students from all over Ireland participated. The students performed exceptionally well and all in CCS are very proud of their achievements. They were mentored by Ms Larkin.
